All About Us!

The Club walks every alternate Saturday throughout the year. Normally on each Club outing there are two walks, a high and a low level, but at certain times of the year we also have club walks when we walk as one group. This is usually a low level walk such as a coastal walk. The club also organises weekends away & holidays abroad.

Our coach leaves at 8 a.m. from the car park at the Murray Owen Centre in East Kilbride. The sign-on for each walk takes place in Our Lady of Lourdes Church hall at 7.30 pm on the Thursday following a walking Saturday. This is an opportunity to chat to other members over a cup of tea/coffee, & find out more information about the next walk.

On some occasions there will be a quiz night, speaker or photography competition & we also organise navigation training evenings. We are a very sociable club & new members are made to feel very welcome.

In September 2022 the Club travelled once again to Tenerife for a fantastic Holiday! 

A Weekend Away to Llandudno took place in May 2023

In September 2023 the club enjoyed the beautiful scenery in Austria & the magic of walking in the high mountains. 

A weekend in Donegal is organised for May 2024. 

The next holiday abroad in September 2024 will be to Italy, to walk amongst the stunning Dolomites. 

As you can see there is more to the Club than just going for a walk,

so come along to the Club Nights and participate in the events.
